"Poverty Amid Plenty"
on Thursday, 12/4 at Our Lady of the Miraculous
Medal in Wyandanch. The session is from 7:30pm-9:30pm and will explore
the very real issue of poverty on Long Island.
Advent Prayer Services:
7:30pm every Sunday during Advent in the church
on Post Avenue.
PRAISE & WORSHIP: The St. Rose of Lima Youth Ministry has invited us to attend Praise & Worship sessions during Advent. These take place on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm at St. Rose of Lima Chapel
- 2 Bayview Avenue, Massapequa.
DECORATING:
We are decorating the chapel for Christmas after the 6pm Rock Mass on 12/21. Refreshments will be served. Bring your favorite Christmas music!
TEEN PREACHING WORKSHOP:
Offered by the Sisters of St. Dominic. The workshop is a weekend experience in creative ways to bring our faith out into the world. It will take place their
mother house in Amityville. There is a small fee of $50 for the weekend
which includes food. The dates are the weekends of January 23-25 and
February 27-29. If you are interested and either of these dates work for
you, contact Vince at 516-334-0021, extension 142. This is highly
recommended!
PAINTING: We will be running a candy sale fund raiser to help with the
cost of giving our Youth Center a make-over. More details will follow soon.
