We'd like to try something different this year for
our children (grades 2-7) in need of help with their
schoolwork. With your help, we can pair one or two
children with one adult for the year. The continuity
that this would provide will enable the tutor to get
a better grasp of the needs of the child and the child
will have one special person just for him/her.
The time commitment would be one hour a week at our
office on Tuesday after school. Monday would be another
possibility if you are not available on Tuesday.

Many of our children don't have opportunities to do
crafts or even to play board games and so we'd like
to make Thursday PLAY DAY. If you're handy with crafts
and would like to organize activities for the children
on a regular basis (assistants would also be needed)
or if you'd be willing to play games for an hour after
school, we need you!

BEREAVEMENT
SUPPORT GROUPS AND
TRAINING SEMINARS
7:15-8:30 PM in the
School, Training seminar at 8:30 PM
There will be 2 support groups starting at St. Brigid's/Our
Lady of Hope Regional School. One group will be for
newly widowed individuals and a second will be for
parents who have lost children. The intent of these
programs is to help individuals
cope with their grief and to help them make the necessary
adjustments that usually accompany the death of a
loved one. Dr. Sabatini, a bereavement counselor,
and four trained facilitators will be leading the
groups. The groups will be held every Wednesday for
10 weeks.

CATECHETICAL
SUNDAY / FAMILY FUN DAY
You and your families
are invited to join St. Brigid's Religious Education
Program as we begin another year! Our program begins
with Mass and a GIANT Family Fun Day as we introduce
our teachers on Catechetical Sunday. Food, drinks,
rides, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, pony rides
will follow the mass.

BRIGID'S/OLH FALL CRAFT FAIR
10 AM - 4 PM at the
School Parking Lot (Maple Ave).
Thanks to our many dedicated parents and school staff
this charitable event is being organized to stress
home values through craft vendors and school parents
demonstrating and selling their artistic talents.
There will be pony rides, petting zoo, face painting,
candy apples, country music, demonstrations, raffles
and so much more!
