St. Brigid’s Food Pantry Needs

Your help is needed to feed the hungry in our
midst. Please help by bringing nonperishable food
to St. Brigid’s when you come to Sunday Mass.

At the 10:00 AM Family Mass the children bring their
offering into the sanctuary at the Presentation of the Gifts.

Food may also be donated during the week in the
church (open every day from
6:30 AM until 9:00 PM)

Food bins are located in the front vestibule.

Do You know...

Last week, we had a parish finance committe meeting. The two lay trustees of the parish, the finance chair, the pastor, the accountant, the business manager, and finance commitee members attended. Every parish needs a finance committee (canon law, 537). Members are people the pastor consults with to assist in the "administration of the goods of the parish."
Important items on the agenda at this finance meeting included a presentation on automated giving (a way to increase parish participation) and a review of the current budget performance. Also, the chair, pastor, and trustees signed the fiscal 2009 budget which had been reviewed at a prior meeting and has now been submitted to the diocese.
As one of the largest parishes in the diocese, administering St. Brigid's is no small task. We are blessed to have the shared gifts of those on our finance committee to help with this process.
