MANUEL J. RAMOS—Coordinator of Spanish Ministry

My Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I am very happy to announce that I have appointed Mr. Manuel J. Ramos to the position of coordinator of our Parish Spanish Ministry. Manuel is presently studying for the Permanent Deaconate in the Diocese. He has been involved in the HIspanic Ministry for years and lives in Westbury with his wifce, Annie, and family.

Manuel will sit on the Spanish Consejo representing me. He will be responsible for coordinating the spiritual activities and events of the community. Fr. Rolando and Sr. Judy will work with Manuel as they have in the past.

Manuel is presently working with Fr. Rolando in setting up a Spanish Mass at the Broadway Senior Citizen Building (Magnolia Gardens) with hope of making Sunday Mass available in New Cassel for those who do not have transportaion to the Church for the Saturday Mass at 6PM or the Sunday mass at the School at 11:30AM.

The new Mass will be celebrated on Sundays at 6PM at 899 Broadway in New Cassel (Magnolia Gardens). The Mass will begin on Sunday, March 18. It will take place each Sunday until June 24 with the exception of Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.

The Mass will then be evaluated for attendance and it will be decided whether to resume the Mass in September. May the Lord bless Manuel J. Ramos in his beautiful and loving service to our people and may the Lord's blessing be upon this new Mass.
