Day 5 • Krakow, Poland

Jacksonville, Florida -- 90 hot degrees -- rain tomorrow
Long Island, New York -- 40 degrees and rainy
Krakow, Poland -- 68 degrees and sunny, sunny, sunny

We spent some time at the border -- first leaving the Czech Republic, then having our passports checked again a few yards away as we entered Poland.

Then we stopped to exchange money.

The reason we were late to getting to Krakow: on OUR side of the road, a tiny communist-era car that could hardly go. On the other side, a horse-drawn wagon that held up traffic for a kilometre.
 
   
We celebrated mass at St. Francis church in Krakow.  
     
  We finished with dinner at the Hotel.
