Saint Brigid's Church was built in 1919 -- it's the third church to be built since 1850 when the parish was founded. Last renovated in the mid 1980's, it was time to re-paint the interior and to refinish the pews and floors. Thanks to past donations to our Millennium Fund, the paint job was paid for and no additional fund raising was needed to paint. (Note: we didn't have enough funding to refinish the pews and floors, but we went ahead anyway, trusting that people will help by contributing a special gift to help pay this bill.)

The painting and refinishing of the interior of the church took place in the summer of 2005.
Here are some photos...

  With the pews removed,
the floors could be refinished.

The walls remain white, but the paint job brightened the entire church.

The pillars had a number of wires running on the outside (needed for lighting, thermostat, video systems, etc.) Channels were cut into the pillars and the wires were embedded so that they are now "invisible."

Thank you to Tony Iannucci and his crew from DLI and Bill Moser and electricians from Wamco Electric for donating this work.

What's wrong with this picture?

The pews are empty.

Come, fill them. (See Schedule)

The pews were beautifully refinished and reinstalled.
