(Or "what I did on my summer vacation")

Saturday, August 18

The weather couldn't have been nicer!

This is NOT a travel brochure photo -- I took it during my morning beach walk. (Yes, I'm doing my exercise.)

Tuesday, August 21st

For those of you Floridians who were hoping for another glimpse of my Uncle Ralph (the original Father Ralph) here we are on one of the cooler summer days. You can tell the Floridian by the one wearing the jacket. It was great to catch up and to reminisce about our recent trip to Europe.

The weekend of August 25-26th

I spent the weekend in New Jersey with my brother and his wife (right photo) and on Sunday morning I celebrated a family mass with those relatives who had stayed over from the big annual BBQ. I got to see my New Jersey cousins too.

A great time was had by all.

The week of August 26th

My parents spent the week with me. We had absolutely beautiful weather from start to finish.

It's been the first week that I haven't been thinking: "I had a heart attack." Other than the fact that I have to take medication twice a day, I feel back to normal. Occasional naps help this. I'll have to figure how to work these into my routine back at the parish.

Tuesday, September 4th

Here's my last day of vacation and my last entry in this blog.

Thanks to God for healing, to you for your prayers, to the medical staff for their care, I'm on the way to recovering.

I'll look for you in church! Hope to see you here.
