On Thursday we traveled near San Salvador to visit the Hermano Pedro home for disabled and abandoned children.
Here children with severe disabilites are cared for round the clock.
There were many difficult and moving
experiences. There are few photos of this place because most of the children
could not give consent to having their photos taken and we wanted to respect
their privacy with regard to a public website.
Many of the children are mobile through the use of wheelchairs.
Many cannot move at all and need constant care.
