When you're in the grocery
store,
spend some of your OWN MONEY
and buy some food that you can bring to church on Sunday and put it in
the food collection baskets at the doors of the church or chapel.
You probably know (from your parents) that the costs of gas, heating and food are all going up and this is affecting poor working families a LOT. Some kids in our neighborhood don't get sufficient nutrition.
Parish outreach continues to distribute food to families with children. This food comes from people like you.
This past year, confirmation candidates raised hundreds of dollars for the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) by staying awake throughout the night and collecting pledges for each hour they stayed awake.

Every year we have our Thanksgiving food drive. But we also need food in our pantry throughout the year.
Why not organize a summertime food collection with your friends or sports team to help feed hungry people?
