Here is a quote from the gospel we read at your Confirmation:

Jesus said to his disciples...

You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.

Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.

Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.

--Matthew 5: 14-16

Take a few minutes and pray with this scripture.

Here are some questions that can help you reflect onn it:

• Who is "light" for you?
• When was a time that you were "light" for someone going through a "dark" time?
• What is something that God wants you to share with others who need your light?

Listen in your heart as God tells you "thank you" for being light.
Ask God to help you be more like light.
