Reconciliation Retreat 2010 At the retreat we learned that... Our life with Jesus started at Baptism when our parents said"I do" when asked: |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
•Do you believe in God, the Father
Almighty, • Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father? •Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting? |

| We blessed ourselves with Holy Water
to remember our Baptism, the time when we became "Children of God". (Yes you can sing that song while looking at the pictures.) |

Then, we wrote our names on blue
paper and linked them together in one chain -- it formed the letter "O"
which of course stands for the word "One" or "unO" |

| Next, we made "backpacks" out of paper bags. We put a + for Jesus, we put our name, and we drew the special qualities of all the people in our family. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Sometimes we make unloving
choices * Don't try this at home. But seriously, we DO sometimes |
So, we put pebbles representing our sins into our backpacks. We saw that if we bring our sins to Jesus, we can get rid of them and we will be free! Because Jesus forgives all our sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation!
