Lent's Coming!

Each year during Lent we strive to offer experiences to deepen our faith life and spirituality. We’ve offered missions (both with invited preachers and from within our parish community.) We have had nights of recollection, prayer services, times for reconciliation, etc. This year we are acting on suggestions of parishioners who expressed a desire for an Lent experience that involves bring together with other parishioner in small groups to share faith and to grow deeper spiritually.

So this weekend we invite you to sign up to be part of our Lenten Home Retreat. How does it work?

(a) You and about nine others meet in a small group in the home of a parishioner. There will be a group guide for each small group.

(b) Each group member will get their own Lent book to use at the meetings and beyond.

(c) The group will meet three times during Lent for about 90 minutes. You get to pick which day of the week to attend your group.

(d) We will have one large communal gathering for everyone on Wednesday, March 28th at 7:30 in Code Auditorium for a night of Adoration, Reconciliation and Prayer. (Mark it your calendar now!)

So... how about it? Sign up to be part of a Lenten Home Retreat group and enjoy sharing Lent with fellow parishioners and discover a way to grow deeper in faith. If you didn’t sign up at church, you can do so online -- go to the St. Brigid’s Website and click on the Lenten Home Retreat logo.

And thanks to the group of parishioners who make up the Parish Mission Team who are organizing this wonderful experience for the days of Lent.

There is still time to sign up to have your photo taken for our parish photo album. Call toll free: (877) 764-4535
Monday thru Friday 9:30am to 3:30pm to sign up.
See available dates here.

Check out our new family blog. Share YOUR experiences too!

S’no Joke

Those of you who get donation envelopes will notice that there’s one for our “Snow Removal Collection” next week.
Really? Snow removal?
What snow?

These envelopes are printed in advance and we didn’t anticipate that this year we would be blessed with an almost snowless winter.
We did have that one weekend where we had to plow and shovel snow. So any donation you make toward that will help pay that bill. And who knows if we’ll have any snow in the month ahead.

If you make an extra donation next weekend, we’ll put it toward the other winter maintenance expenses.

Religious Ed Signup News

We took an online poll of parents of those in Religious Education to see if they’d like the option of registering their children online and paying online through Faith Direct. The overwhelming response is “yes.” So we’ll be working on offering that soon
