Great News,Annoying News

Bring a Sweater?
I’m writing this on Wednesday and I don’t know whether you’ll need a sweater or a personal fan for church as you’re reading this. But the reason we’ve had no air conditioning the past couple of week is that the system is broken and we’re in the midst of expensive repairs. (See? It’s not true that the pastor was cheap and saving money by not running the ac!!)
Now that we raised $10,000 for repairs in the school, we’ll need to find $8,000 for the ac repairs. (No rest for the weary.)

PS -- For those of you reading this online, we DID get the AC to work by the weekend!

At St. Brigid’s we like to stay in touch through
e-mail “letters from home.”
Once a person has an e-mail address at school (or if he/she uses a personal address), please let us know what it is so we can include them when we write.
Here's a handy college link so you can send this info online.

The great news is that we celebrated a mass of thanksgiving with the newly-ordained Father Joe Fitzgerald last Sunday at the 11:45 Spanish Mass. Father Joe was with us this past year as a Vincentian Deacon and worked faithfully in ministries among our Hispanic community. He also assisted at mass and preached during weekday masses in the church.

Father Joe (pictured above in green) will also be back to celebrate the
12:10 Mass on Thursday, June 23rd at the Church. After mass there will be refreshments and a reception on St. Brigid’s Green.
(If you’d like to help with this, please stop in the office and let us know.) All are invited to celebrate with Father Joe.

Father Joe’s first assignment will be in Panama, South America.

Annoying News.... It’s not the end of the world, but for the last two weeks the web server for St. Brigid’s was not receiving all
e-mail so if you sent an e-mail to anyone on staff and didn’t get a reply, it’s probably because we never got it. Then we asked folks to go online and do the interactive feedback page on the Pastoral Council parish priorities and the site crashed last Sunday. (Such bad timing.) But all seems to be working again. So we look forward to your feedback online or on paper. You can go to:
www.saintbrigid.net/pascoun/pc.html for details.
