We scheduled this afternoon meeting during Religious Education Classes to make it easier for parents to attend. While your children are in class, we’d be happy to listen to your hopes for the future.

At College?

At St. Brigid’s we like to stay in touch through
e-mail “letters from home.”
Once a person has an e-mail address at school (or if he/she uses a personal address), please let us know what it is so we can include them when we write.
Here's a handy college link so you can send this info online.

Now that the cool weather is here, we’re happy to announce that the sisters who live in the convent are now in hot water. Due to the generosity of parishioners in the Millennium Fund Drive we were able to replace an aging boiler and broken hot water heater this week.

Over the weekend and during next week we’ll also address the “tree problems”. There are massive branches over the roof of the convent that could easily crash down on the roof in a storm. There are also several large dead branches and one large dead pine tree around the parish property -- at the school, in back of the church and at the parish center. These need to be taken care of before they cause any damage or injury.

Last week I reported the list of priorities that our Building
and Grounds Committee drew up. We may have to rearrange this list because we just got bids in for the school parking lot that indicate we’ll need at least an extra $30,000 over the funds already raised. I’ll be consulting with our committee this coming week.

Once again I want to thank all of those who participated in the Millennium Fund Drive. After last week’s column some people asked if it was too late to make a contribution. Of course the answer is “It’s never too late.” The larger our fund is, the larger the “dividend” is that we can use to fix up the place.
