Casa Mary Johanna
269 SHERIDAN STREET · WESTBURY, NY 11590 · 516.333.0651

Homebound
Terry Patterson (334.0021) coordinates our ministry to the sick and homebound. Please call the Rectory when someone is hospitalized for the prayers of the community. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is celebrated every Friday after the 12:10 Mass.

Ministry of Winter Grace
The outreach to Seniors, Homebound and Physically Challenged. As our population continues to age there are more and more needs to fill. At the present time we are serving over 80 families in our community. There are many opportunities to share your time and gifts in this ministry. Perhaps you could visit a homebound person for an hour a week, take someone shopping or shop for them, take a parishioner to church on Saturday evening or Sunday, be a driver for someone going to the doctor, therapy, dialysis or chemotherapy. If you could give an hour or so once a week, every other week, or once a month, please leave a message at The Parish Center and I will return your call. Thank you. Jesus' Love & Peace — Terry Patterson

Parish Outreach
The mission of St BrigidŐs Parish Outreach Program is to represent the faith community of the Parish of St. Brigid in extending our human, material, financial and spiritual resources to the greater community. Our services are open to all within our parishŐs geographical bounds regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or social or economic history.

Thanks to our Webmaster, John Ammirati, our site on the Worldwide Web is not only looking good, but doing good as we offer a listing of social service resources on line. Check us out on the web!

Project Rachel
Project Rachel operates as a network of professional counselors and priests, all trained to provide one-on-one spiritual and psychological care for those who are suffering because of an abortion. Although most dioceses use the name Project Rachel, some programs are named differently. In addition to individualized counseling, some programs include support groups and retreats. Founded in 1984 by Victoria Thorn in Milwaukee, today Project Rachel programs can be found in 140 Catholic dioceses in the United States, as well as in dioceses in other countries. Visit the national website at www.hopeafterabortion.com.

Retrovaille (Marriage Encounter)
The program can help couples who decide to do something positive about their marriage as they try to work at rediscovering each other in a new and positive way. It is for couples who finally realise that their pain and problems in their relationship will not ease unless they are willing to work at it themselves. Also visit the official website.
